Dear
Yoko,
Greetings from Lake Atitlan. Today I received your change of address
letter, so I realized the long time that has passed since we were
in touch. First I want to reiterate my appreciation for your support
during the response to the disaster that came to our communities
during October 2005. You are one of the most sensitive and thoughtful
persons I know in this shrinking world.
In January 2006 I was hired by Oxfam of Great Britain to coordinate
all of the humanitarian assistance in Solola, so I had much greater
responsibilities and resources to help the needed. It was a very
hard and rewarding experience that ended the past 31st of December.
Now I am resting a bit and writing the experience, since it changed
my life in a rewarding way, and you were part of that experience.
I visited your web page today and see that you are very good at
capturing that beautiful world that made us, more than the world
we made. So, I like to share with you a flower and part of this
blue landscape.
Thank you again for your support in times of disaster.
My best regards,
Juan
